CONTRACTOR COMMENTS – FROM ROUSE CONTRACTORS LTD (RCL)

As you can see from the recently taken aerial image, solid progress is being made with the earthworks, and the development is really starting to take shape. This is despite several significant weather events in recent weeks, which the dedicated team at RCL has been actively managing — both from an environmental standpoint and in terms of trying to maintain our programme and development timeframes.

KEY PROGRESS UPDATES:

Environmental Management - Waikato Regional Council has been in weekly contact and is very happy with the work RCL has completed to manage environmental controls, particularly during the recent rain events.

Programme Update - Due to the impact of recent wet weather, the overall programme has been pushed out by 8 days. RCL is actively working to mitigate any further delays and maintain momentum across all areas of the development.

Strathmore Park Playing Fields - Stormwater works have been completed, and grass strike has occurred. The dry pond performed well during recent rain events, effectively managing runoff in this flood-prone area.

Building Platforms - All building platforms in Stage 1 (northern boundary) have been completed, topsoiled, and have achieved grass strike. Approximately 50% of the platforms in Stages 2 and 3 have also reached this stage.

Roading and Stormwater Infrastructure - Subgrade formation is nearing completion across all Stages. The importation of roading metal has begun, and road formation of Stage 1 is expected to be completed within the next couple of weeks. In addition, stormwater infrastructure — including all roading cesspits — has been completed in Stage 1. These milestones significantly improve surface water management and will make ongoing environmental management across the site much easier, especially during wet weather.

Wastewater Infrastructure - Works in Stage 1 have been completed. Construction has now commenced in Stages 2 and 3. Connections to the Football Club and public toilet facilities are operating effectively.

Western Area Expansion - Excavation continues westward over the rise, and material is still being placed to build up this area.
